Some stories begin in silence, but Sarah Corbett Lynch 's has become a lighthouse for so many who have known pain.
Sarah is an Irish author, advocate, and singer. At just thirteen years old, she became one of Ireland’s youngest award-winning published authors with her illustrated children’s book, Noodle Loses Dad . The book, which helps children navigate the heartbreak of bereavement, quickly became a trusted resource for children’s rights groups, counseling services, and schools. Sarah's writing not only comforts, it creates connection. A tender and powerful invitation for others to begin healing too.
In March 2025, she released A Time for Truth , a bestselling book dedicated to those who do not have a voice. It is a deeply personal and profoundly courageous call to remember, to listen, and to believe. With this work, Sarah has solidified her place as a leading young voice in Irish literature and a force for change.
Sarah was born in Ireland and experienced devastating loss early in life. Her mother passed away when Sarah was just twelve weeks old. When she was four, her family moved to the United States after her father remarried. In August 2015, her father, Jason Corbett, was killed by her stepmother and step-grandfather. Sarah and her older brother Jack were orphaned and returned to Ireland to be raised by their aunt and uncle, Tracey and Dave.
From this heartbreak, Sarah began the bold work of reclaiming her story.
She has since become an award-winning campaigner for bereaved children and victims’ rights. Her advocacy work has reached audiences across Ireland and the U.S., including appearances on The Late Late Show, Fox 8, The Irish Times, and The Irish Independent. In every interview, every line of her writing, every quiet act of truth-telling, Sarah continues to speak not just for herself, but for those who cannot.
Beyond her advocacy, Sarah is also a talented singer and actor. She is a qualified swim teacher, lifeguard, and commercial diver. A native of Limerick now living in County Clare, she enjoys sea swimming, snorkeling, and cooking.
